After more than 6 months, the Daulat Ram College administration finally accepted flaws in the election process and EVM malfunctioning in the Daulat Ram College Student Union Elections 2018.
Sonia Sehrawat, the Presidential runner up has been appointed as the Co President now by the Chairperson of Daulat Ram College’s Governing Body.
The election results declared last year weren’t taken well with students at Daulat Ram College as the college saw protests for a few days from Sonia Sehrawat and her supporters.
“NSUI has always raise its concern against malfunctioning of evm and and use of 1st genration evm machines for student body elections. Daulat Ram College was the perfect example where votes displayed by the EVM were more than the voters enrolled. Sonia Sehrawat raised her voice and college administration had to accept the faults in the whole mechanism.” said Akshay Lakra, Delhi State President of NSUI.
