Delhi University Post Graduate Admissions 2016

Delhi University on 27th April 2016 announced the schedule and new policy for admissions to post graduate courses for the upcoming academic session (2016-17).

The online registration for admissions to PG courses started on 28th April 2016 and will end on 24th May 2016.The entrance examination would be held between June 19 to 23.

For the first time, the university will be conducting the entrance exams for admission at six centres across the country – Bangalore, Nagpur, Delhi, Jammu, Varanasi and Kolkata. Earlier, the exams were only conducted in Delhi.Questions for the examination would be multiple choice questions. The duration for the same will be two hours. The question papers will be framed in both Hindi and English language.Foreign language courses including Persian will have subjective questions as well.

The registration fee for admission will be Rs500 for unreserved and OBC categories and Rs250 for SC/ST applicants. There is a common application form for centralized registration for the applicants.

Apart from those faculties and departments offering interdisciplinary or professional courses, all other departments reserves 50% of the total seats in each program for direct admission for students who have completed their under graduation from DU. Remaining 50% seats are filled by entrance exams to be followed by interview (to be decided by individual departments).
