Delhi University’s Vice-Chancellor (VC) Yogesh Tyagi takes only INR 1 as salary.This information was provided by the Ministry of Human Resource Development in a response to a question in Parliament.
A question was asked in the Parliament enquiring whether the VC has submitted his PAN card and Aadhaar Card details to the University and whether he has received any salary from the University or not.

“The Delhi University has informed that the Vice-Chancellor has submitted copies of his PAN card and Aadhaar card to the university and he has chosen to take just Re 1 as salary from the university.” said¬†Minister of State for HRD Satyapal Singh in a reply to this question.
