Dean of Students Welfare Rajeev Gupta directed that Admissions to undergraduate courses will remain open for grievance today. The admission process of the first cut off has been a huge hustle bustle. With more than 19000 students seeking admission in the first cut off itself. Such unexpected demand has led to Delhi University granting another day to deal with student’s grievances.
The extension also aims to cater to the CGPA conversion issues. The students graduating from the board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh were perturbed regarding admissions due to the conversion of CGPA wherein the CGPAs were multiplied by 9.5 instead of 10 as directed by the board.
Mr Gupta in a message said “Pending admissions, including grievances, will be processed by the University of Delhi on July 2, 2019. Grievances include those of the students from Andhra Pradesh regarding their grades/marks.” as reported by The Hindu. However, regarding the process of conversion and extension, a lot of confusion has been created by the officials which can be troublesome for the aspiring students.
The admission though were closed on Monday with 19,886 having been admitted. The next list is scheduled to be released on July 4. There are approximately 63,000 seats up for grabs at DU colleges this year.
