As Delhi University is all set to release its first cut off on 28th June, St. Stephens has already released the first cut off for various undergraduate courses which demands the percentage of the students to be above 95%. A slight soar can be witnessed in the cut offs this year which can be a bit troublesome for students applying for the course BA (Honours) Journalism, BA (Honours) Psychology, BA (Honours) Sociology as these are the courses which are not offered by every college in Delhi University but only few colleges offer these courses and with these comparable cut offs some of the students might loose the opportunity to get admission in these courses.
The reason behind the spike in the cut offs is pretty obvious as the applicants who have applied in the DU are majorly from CBSE and CBSE has witnessed the results of the aspirants 12th board exams to be 95%.
It is evident from the choices of the applicants that BA (Honours)  have made through the top 10 courses and B.com being one of them. Similarly  BA (Honours) English has remained to be the topmost course in terms of student choices followed by the BA(Honours) Political Science.
