DU Admissions 2019 : Zakir Husain Delhi College, the oldest college in the University of Delhi, hosted the ‘Open Day’ in the Auditorium on 7th June, 2019 from 10.00 am to 12:30 pm. The event was attended by over 200 aspiring students seeking admission and their parents in order to clarify their doubts related to admission in several undergraduate courses in the university. The event began with a power-point presentation highlighting the details about the college, including the admission process. The college offers 1580 seats for admission to 22 undergraduate courses in 19 disciplines. In his welcome address, the principal of the college, Dr. Masroor Ahmad Beg emphasized that the college promotes composite culture and values of respect based on its motto, “live by love.”

A team of experts from the university addressed the queries raised by the students and their parents. Most of the queries were related to the online registration process and the newly introduced EWS quota. The panelists suggested the students to refer to the Bulletin of Information on the University website for authentic information on eligibility criterion for admission. The college also provided for a help desk where students sought clarification for their additional doubts, informed the Media Committee Convenor, Dr. Ravi Ranjan.
