Delhi University has released the new eligibility criteria on its website du.ac.in

This comes after the High Court order of last week which directed the University to take back the new eligibility criteria imposed on various undergraduate courses this year and take admissions on the basis of last year’s eligibility criteria.

Delhi University this year made inclusion of Mathematics in ‘Best of Four’ mandatory for Economics aspirants while a score of 50 marks was made the pre requisite condition to apply for B Com (Hons). This invited a lot of criticism from aspirants, parents and teachers and many of them took this matter to court where these decisions made on the last moment were found to be unfair.

It is to be noted that the University has till now not cleared the confusion regarding the cutoff dates.Parents and aspirants all across the country aren’t sure whether they should leave for Delhi or not as the first cutoff was expected to come on 20th June but the recent court order which extended the deadline to June 22 has confused the parents.

“Our flight tickets were booked and it is 17th June already today but we’re still not sure whether we’ve to come to Delhi on 20th or not and if not then we aren’t sure whether we would be able to make any travel arrangements at the last moment or not” a worried parent from Bengal told DU Express.
