Due to the coronavirus outbreak engulfing the country, Delhi University’s admission process has already been delayed by over a month. The registration process for admission in Delhi University is likely to begin from June 20 and close on July 4 this year.
It is also expected that the cut off lists for various colleges will be disclosed around the end of July. The registrations shall open for a second time only after the declaration of marks by CBSE as mentioned in the UGC Exam and Admission Guidelines.
In this year’s admission process, Sports trials, and Extra-curricular activities (ECA) admissions will be skipped. Exceptions will be made for NCC and NSS candidates. The entire process will remain online for all the candidates.
In a meeting held on Tuesday, the Standing Committee on admissions has decided to accept old caste certificates. It was also mentioned that a document accepted through online procedure can’t be rejected later, as long as it isn’t forged.
A list of approved schools will be published in the Undergraduate Information Bulletin Board to reduce the chances of false information being passed around.
