University Of Delhi: With respect to the speculations related to the postponement of the Open Book Examinations (OBE) which were scheduled to commence from July 10, the University of Delhi has released a notification stating that the Open Book Examinations for all streams of Final year/Semester/Term of Undergraduate and Postgraduate students including School of Open Learning (SOL) and Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board (NCWEB) stands postponed.
Many professors, staff members, and students who strongly opposed the idea of Open Book Examinations due to numerous technical glitches and other constraints like economic hardships and growing concerns over the Coronavirus pandemic will be relieved at the Varsity’s decision.
This move came after The University Grants Commission (UGC) guidelines, which stated that Universities can hold Final Semester examinations either in online or in regular mode or may opt for a blended format. However, the University Of Delhi is yet to issue a new notice regarding the conduct of the examinations along with the revised date sheet and other quintessential information which will soon be made available on the official website.
