The elections are around the corner and the election campaign has already started in Delhi University. The race to put up posters and gain maximum visibility among students has also begun.

Despite the DU administration providing a designated Wall of Democracy”, some students have started to paste posters on the walls of the campus. Already 10 FIRs have been filed at the Maurice Nagar Police Station for defacement of public property.

As the election dates were announced, number of posters cropped up on walls outside the colleges in North Campus. Outside Vishwavidyalaya metro station too, one can see pamphlets and small cards littered all around. Cars plying with the names of candidates and their political outfits pasted on them has become a common sight.

The final candidate list is yet to be declared but large hoardings have already come up with the names of students associated with the NSUI and the ABVP on them.
