Being pioneer of its domain, Dyal Singh Evening College- University of Delhi, has been triumphant in consociating with National Trust- Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India.
In the wake of sensitizing the masses about the humane’s inexoraberance for prosperous mankind, Project ‘Meraki’- an extension of “Inclusive India- Empowered India’, an initiative by The National Trust has been shouldered upon by the Dyal Singh Evening College.
Meraki centralises it meaning upon ” An act of synchronising the Heart with Soul, to mark assurance towards inspiration to achieve more.
Inclusive India: Empowered India is an initiative of The National Trust, which is a statutory body of The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. It works for the welfare of persons suffering from Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Mental Retardation and Multiple special abilities.
The purpose of project “Meraki”: Awareness Campaign, Workshop and Youth Festival is to provide better insight of the perception and ideology shared by the young minds, in order to ensure reconciliation with humane and sensitivity towards people suffering from Intellectual Special Abilities.
This one month ensures rigorous series of activities such as: Awareness Campaigns,Online events,Group discussions,Workshop and a one day Youth Festival that makes the students get the conception of how not to Focus on the differences of people with disabilities but the talents of the individual.
Perhaps,with the sight of reformation,the project reckons to the mammoth support of compeers.
