Delhi International Model United Nations 2018 will be a 3-day Model United Nations conference, which will take place at the glorious capital of INDIA – Delhi.
Indraprastha College for Women¬†(estd. 1924) is a constituent college of the University of Delhi and its oldest women‚Äôs college. Founded as a part of a nation-wide campaign for women’s education and empowerment. It is located on a beautiful campus which is a recognized heritage site and a landmark of Delhi. It has an enrollment of approximately 3500 students in its UG and PG programs.
In partnership with The Dais Foundation, which is a Non Profit Organization working on Access to Quality Education, founded as The Dais Education Initiative. The Dais Foundation seeks to facilitate quality education through interventions in curriculums and in classrooms.
Delhi International Model United Nations Conference 2018, which is to be hosted by Indraprastha College for Women, University of Delhi, on the 19th, 20th, and 21st of January 2018 is one of Asia’s largest MUN conference expecting a participation from over 1000 students.
The conference will offer delegates the chance to debate pressing global issues; challenge them to take on new perspectives; and build strong networks; enabling them to become the world leaders of tomorrow. The conference aspires to bring together the very best from across the globe. There lies an opportunity of interacting with thousands of highly motivated students from diverse backgrounds for the 3-day summit along with its alluring features.
Besides providing a platform for diplomacy, a crossroads for eloquence and an epicentre for world solutions; unlike its contemporaries, Delhi International MUN is a celebration of the vivacious city’s culture and the very essence of life in this metropolis.
DIMUN’18 will comprise of 11 diverse committees, namely DISEC, SOCHUM, UNSC, UNHRC, UNW, UNDP, IAEA, ECOSOC, WHO and UNHCR. Two of these committees are exclusively for school students. Some of the agendas include “Curbing the illicit trade of small arms and light weapons in South & South East Asia”,   “Sustainable Development Goal 4: Ensure inclusive and quality education for all and promote lifelong learning”, “The situation in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea” amongst others. It also includes a Social Evening, a live band performance and much more along with a dedicated contingent of the International Press.
