Second Year Satyawati College Student From Manipur Commits Suicide

A 19-year-old Delhi University student from Manipur allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in Sant Nagar,a locality in North Delhi.

Hijam Bharat Singh was a second year student at Satyawati College and hailed from Manipur. He was found hanging by his two relatives yesterday.There was no suicide note recovered near the body.

Hijam was staying with two relatives at a rented accommodation in Sant Nagar,an area popular among outstation Delhi University students for accommodation.

His flatmates weren’t home when he took this step.

When his flatmates returned home around 9.30 PM,Hijam did not open the door.They peeped through the window to saw his body hanging from a ceiling fan.

His father who works with a private firm in Manipur and has been informed of the incident.
