The first session of the Placement season at SRCC touched new heights this year and was immensely successful with over 20 recruiters rolling out 120+ offers summing to a gross value of around 8 crores. The number of offers witnessed a jump of nearly 40% from the previous year which is a testimony to how the college continues to enjoy high levels of confidence and trust among the corporate stalwarts. The highest package of Rs. 31 Lakh offered by the consulting giant, EY-Parthenon was bagged by two students. Other reputed firms like The Boston Consulting Group, McKinsey & Co., A.T. Kearney, L.E.K. Consulting handpicked several candidates. Companies like Axxela Advisory Services, Client Associates, Times Internet also came to recruit for finance profiles. The ‘Big 4’, namely Deloitte, KPMG, EY and PwC which are regular recruiters recruited young talent from the college this year too. Recruiters from various sectors such as consulting, audit, taxation,actuarial have visited campus this year for profiles like associate, deal advisory, risk consulting to name a few. The college also witnessed companies like Deutsche Bank,Nomura, Standard Chartered Bank gracing the campus to recruit interns. Additionally, Pre Placement Offers (PPOs) were extended by companies like JSW, EY, Deutsche Bank etc.
The Placement Cell of the college is the first in Delhi University to launch one of its kind website this year, to streamline all communications with both companies and students through a digital portal. The Cell has also been conducting rigorous CV Vetting cycles to ensure credibility and authenticity in the information provided by the students to the companies. The Cell’s unique video series initiative titled “Crack it with SRites”, is a platform through which students who have graduated from the college give an insight into the preparation of interviews and competitive exams. For enhancing the knowledge and keeping the students updated with the global and business news, the Placement Cell also issues a newsletter namely, ‘In a nutshell’. In addition to that, an extensive prospectus,‘Placements Decoded’, containing interview questions, guesstimates and case studies with best possible solutions, is being published in consultation with the alumni. With the first season culminating, the second placement season expects over 50 more companies recruiting students thus spiking the college’s stellar record for placements.
