The syllabi of 6 new courses at DU is taking shape under the deliberations and discussions of a seven-member committee. The University of Delhi has announced that they will be introducing six new interdisciplinary UG courses under the National Education Policy (NEP), in the academic session of 2022-23. But it would only be proceeded after a final nod from the executive and academic councils of DU.

6 NEW COURSES
The respective interdisciplinary undergraduate courses are:
- Ethics and Culture
- Social and Emotional Learning
- Innovation and Entrepreneurship
- Co-curricular
- Science and Society
- IT Skills, Data Analysis and Mathematics
THE SEVEN-MEMBER COMMITTEE | SYLLABI FOR THE 6 NEW COURSES AT DU IS TAKING SHAPE
The chairman of the committee is Professor Vivek Suneja, Faculty of Management Studies. Other members include Professor H.P. Singh from the Department of Physics, Professor Shobha Bagai from the Cluster Innovation Centre (CIC), Dr. Anju Srivastava, Principal at Hindu College, Dr. Suman Sharma, Principal at Lady Shri Ram College, and Dr. S.P. Aggarwal, Principal at Ramanujan College. In addition, Dr. Asani Bhaduri, Assistant Professor at CIC will be the member-secretary of this committee.
“The NEP Interdisciplinary Courses Committee aims at constituting the Interdisciplinary Sub-Committees/Working Groups for assisting the committee in framing the syllabi for the NEP Interdisciplinary Courses. In addition, it will be comprising teachers of the departments, centres and colleges of the university,” the official notification from DU read.
