Amongst the hustle-bustle of the Campus Placements and B-School Admissions, a group of students from Ramjas College are living our Prime Minister’s dream of “Startup India, Standup India.”

Living in a generation of entrepreneurs, we might persistently come across startup ideas and business models but how often do we hear a fortunate story that has conquered the biggest hurdles of starting up? Be it that of developing a profitable yet attractive model or that of arranging seed fund at minimal traction, this team has made through it all.

The company provides easy to book, better serviced and affordable rental homes to students within the campus and thrives on building a co-operative and robust support system for handling student grievances.

Apart from providing fully furnished Air Conditioned rooms and standardized meals, YourShell properties offer a whole new set of free services to their residents which include library, gaming zone, gym, prepaid electric meters, smart card entry system, online payment portal, career counseling sessions, internship guidance and rent credit facility.

Their offerings confirm that the founders, despite of lacking the experience and goodwill essential for entering a complex real estate market, have determined all their efforts to innovate and revolutionize the primitive student accommodation sector.

It is also important to look at the benefit that students could reap from PM Modi’s “Startup India” scheme to promote the growth of startup ecosystem in our country. It is helping new age entrepreneurs in overcoming the biggest hindrance in the business-investment. If the government is doing so much to promote these entrepreneurs in the nation, then why are most of the startup founders still chasing venture capitalists and losing all autonomy in their own venture?

Needless to say, it is because most of them are unaware of this option. Only when they know, will they be able to take necessary steps to use this route to make it big.

YourShell is commencing its operations this June by launching the first round of properties in North Campus of University of Delhi and operating a team of 50 students that shall be assisting the students during the admission process. All in all there is a lot for you all to take away from this venture- Admission assistance, Accommodation ensurance and Inspiration.
