Undergraduate admissions (2016-17) to be held online and offline

Delhi University is likely to bring out both online and offline applications for admission to undergraduate courses in the upcoming academic session (2016-17),which is likely to start from 28th May 2016 as reported by Hindustan Times.

Online registration for around 54,000 seats will begin from 28th May 2016 but offline applications would be available towards the end of the admission schedule for five days starting 12th June 2016.The registration process will close on 16th June 2016.

This came as a relief to many students after many student organisations protested against the university’s decision to make the whole registration process online.

“Students will be able to fill both online and offline forms. While online forms will be available since May 28 and will continue till the last day, the offline forms will be only available for the last five days,” said Nachiketa Singh, member of the admission committee.

AK Bhagi, another admission committee member, said, the offline forms will be available at four or five colleges where students can get a hard copy of the form. “There will be four colleges in which offline forms will be made available for the last five days. Students can take the offline forms and submit it after filling at these centers. We are yet to finalise the colleges where forms will be available,” he said.
