Delhi University is likely to release the first cut-offs for admission in undergraduate courses on October 10. A notice released on September 25 announced that DU admission process for undergraduate admissions will begin from October 12 and last till October 14.

The entire Delhi University admission process has been completely online in the view of the pandemic spread of Coronavirus. This has happened for the first time ever. The cut off is expected to be released two days prior to the commencement of the admission process. In the notice dated 25 September, the University had further mentioned that students who take admission in Delhi University colleges based off the first cut-offs, will have to submit their fees latest by October 16.

Due to the delay in admission process, the academic session this year will be starting from November 18. No summer or winter break will be provided to the first-year students. As per a report in Times Now, Shobha Bagai, Delhi University, Dean (Admissions) told some media reporters that “We will be holding a webinar for students on how to calculate their cut-offs, choose courses and colleges on the dashboard. We will also be holding a meeting with college conveners. There is a need to sensitise anybody – from colleagues in colleges to candidates, who tend to get anxious.”

Shobha Bagai has further urged DU undergraduate aspirants to closely keep a track of all announcements made over the Delhi University official site: du.ac.in and read all notices carefully.

During the webinar all students will be free to ask questions and clear doubts related to the entire admission process so that the new semester can start off smoothly.

The first cut-off list is expected to be released earlier than what was notified earlier so that students can have some time to make an informed decision and choose their course and college wisely.
