As 2020 brought forth its challenges, the team at TEDxJMC decided to keep the tradition of big ideas and rich storytelling alive as the world turned virtual.

This new spirit enabled them to unveil various new campaigns on their social media, one of them being ‘UnediTED,’ where speakers were invited from all over, each month, to be a part of their Instagram live sessions on various issues. The speakers ranged from the likes of Ms.Vidushi Sharma, the Head Chef and Co-Owner of Truffle & Co., to Ms. Kanika Dewan, the Director of People for Animals, who enlightened the audience about the acts committed against animals. It was then followed by meaningful insights on art therapy by Ms. Aditi Kaul, who is the Lead Arts Based Therapy, Program Department of Mental Health & Behavioral Sciences at Fortis Healthcare. The following months were graced by people like Ms. Shaili Chopra, the founder of SheThePeople, Mr. Nikhil Taneja, who is the Co-Founder and CEO of Yuva, and finally, for the last live session of the series, they had Mr. Karan Tanna, who is the founder and CEO of Ghost Kitchens, India, and Bro Eat!. To promote the various live sessions, they also hosted some fun-filled activities to keep the audience updated, like ‘What do you want to bake along with Chef Vidushi’ and ‘Easing your mind via art therapy’ for another live session. The most liked campaign was ‘Women who Inspire’ where people from all across sent in pictures of all the womxn in their lives who left a mark.

They also started with different campaigns like Monotone Mondays and Factual Fridays, wherein they relived some of their favorite talks by their previous speakers and bombarded the audience with some fun yet intriguing facts about TED. The Instagram features were utilized to the best of their ability, from reels to stories to IGTV videos. The latest campaign was another interesting bit which involved ‘What if our favorite fictional character gave a TEDx Talk?’ and it involved characters like Geet from Jab We Met and Fallon from Dynasty among many others. And as they say that the show must go on! The team at TEDxJMC is convinced in spreading and reaching out to people with different ideas to touch minds and enhance growth. It was a conscious call to keep up with the spirits and light the world with the possibilities of hope, peace, and magnification. With the team all set to host the third but the first-ever virtual edition in the last week of February, new ideas will be explored and ventured.
