Delhi University’s professor, Hansraj Suman has penned an open letter to the honorable Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, regarding the lack of execution of the regulations for reservation in the appointment of SC/ST professors in the university.
In his letter, Suman has held various universities responsible for the violation of the rules for appointing Dalit teachers, specifically. On the behalf of the Dalit professors of the university, Suman claimed that they are unhappy about the appointment procedure as the central universities fail to implement the rules and policies of reservation in the appointment process. According to him, there are many posts which have been filled without sticking to the reservation policies for the Dalit teachers.
He has also requested the PM to take this matter into consideration.Professor Hansraj Suman is a member of Delhi University’s Academic Council.
